In Memory of…. Scott Bleifer & Stanislov Ionov

I guess that anytime, anywhere what follows
could be my name or yours! I’m very proud to
say that I was a part of the Memorial Ride in
honor of fallen cyclists Scott Bleifer and
Stanislov Ionov.

I did not know them personally, but I know
that they loved to cycle and that their lives
ended doing one of the things that they were
very passionate about.

I was in a sea of orange vests on Saturday
morning October 1st for the Memorial ride,
that not only did it honor but, it was also a
loud cry for AWARENESS…

Cyclists as well as drivers and why not pedestrians! We in the cycling world for the most part are all three: cyclist, drivers and pedestrians…Safety Awareness and Politeness may take us a little further in the cycling world along with being an advocate for the sport.

Well I wont’ drag this on and on…I will say that Reggie, Norma, Thomas and Joe were there to represent the “Dockriders”, just a little surprised I didn’t see more “Yellow Banana Eaters” out there!!!

Which brings me to an interesting quote, that I just read
“Character is made by what you stand for; reputation, by what you fall for.”

– Robert Quillen (Thank you Mr. Andre for posting the quote).
